Acoustically effective luminous stretch ceilings with Barrisol®

The acoustic absorption of BARRISOL film reduces the strength of sound waves in a room. The sound is dampened by the film because it only partially reflects it. The disturbing reverberation is thus measurably minimised.

The concept of an open-plan office places enormous demands on the room acoustics, where both the individual employee must be able to work in a concentrated manner and the team must be able to work together dynamically. Various DIN/ISO standards have to be applied in this respect as early as the planning stage. Acoustically effective stretch ceilings with or without light from Barrisol offer sensible solutions here.

Similarly complex requirements for room acoustics apply in all public buildings such as schools, ministries … or even shopping centres. Our aim is to reconcile the complex dynamic factors in rooms while reducing disturbing resonances with coordinated acoustic measures.

What solution does BARRISOL offer?

Barrisol offers a range of perforated films, the most effective of which has 500,000 holes per square metre to attenuate sounds and noises and thus reduce noise pollution in public and private spaces. This film optimally limits the disturbing effect of reverberation for better intelligibility of sound and speech and is thus an excellent means of optimising room acoustics.

Our solution

No two rooms are the same. Large flat wall and glass surfaces are proven to be the main cause of unpleasant room acoustics. Large numbers of people communicating, loud technical equipment and machinery, as well as external noise can also have a negative impact on the acoustic profile of a room. An individually coordinated combination of different measures on walls, ceilings and floors is therefore essential to ensure optimal absorption in rooms.

We therefore plan and design an overall acoustic concept for you using a wide variety of materials. Depending on the room situation, we coordinate different fabrics, carpets and objects and integrate covered frames with suitable fabrics such as cloth and gauze with integrated insulating materials made of felts or fleeces – open-pored natural products such as sheep’s wool, hemp, coconut mats or wood with perforations are also used in order to optimise such rooms acoustically and at the same time create a pleasant atmosphere.
