Acoustic room concepts

The correct combination of coordinated material components is essential to ensure optimal absorption in rooms.

We create quiet rooms – because loud rooms are unpleasant, people feel disturbed at work or cannot relax in their own homes. Too few sound-absorbing materials such as glass or other smooth surfaces cause the spoken word or sounds to be strongly reflected. The resulting reverberation increasingly overshadows further communication and thus worsens audibility. Comprehension problems arise and concentration decreases. For optimal room acoustics, the professional combination of sound-absorbing elements must therefore be integrated into modern room planning.

This is achieved by using room textiles such as sound-absorbing carpets, perforated surfaces and sound-absorbing stretch ceilings from Barrisol. According to the customer’s wishes, we develop concepts and recommend further acoustic elements such as acoustic pictures, partition walls, entire walls, flexible partition walls, wall coverings or screens, which, in addition to their acoustic function, also contribute to the design of rooms. The aim is to achieve a lower noise level and thus good speech intelligibility through the right material composition in order to create a relaxed living atmosphere or the right conditions for a pleasant working environment.

Benefits

→ Improvement of the ability to concentrate
→ General stress reduction
→ Effective teamwork through improved intelligibility
→ Creation of acoustic privacy within large rooms

Procedure

Consultation: First, we analyse the spatial conditions together with you and how large the areas of the room acoustic elements should be to improve the acoustics.
Concept and design: We provide you with suggestions and proposals for an individual colour concept and acoustic images, a contemporary overall concept or a detailed solution for your rooms.

Implementation: We develop an acoustic design concept and implement the measures in your rooms.
Acoustic before/after measurement: We measure the reverberation time and take these findings into account when designing the room.
